North Somerset People First is seeking to recruit x 2 Communication Officers
to support our National Lottery funded project
‘A Better Life’

The post holders will support individuals using the service that have identified environmental or personal difficulties that are impacting on their emotional/mental wellbeing. Providing 1-1 advocacy, person centred planning and developing, supporting and facilitating a peer support network you will enable individuals to achieve positive outcomes.
You will have the ability to engage and communicate effectively with people with learning disabilities and associated conditions including autism.
Enthusiasm, initiative and creativity are essential, as well as the ability to travel throughout North Somerset.
If you have experience of working and engaging with people with a learning disability and/or autism and have strong person centred values we would be pleased to hear from you.
Hours – 16 p/w (May include occasional evening & weekend working)
Pay – £18,200 (pro rata)
Closing date 11th July
Interviews will be held on 19th July
