We currently run 3 different groups around North Somerset and we hope to offer groups in other locations around the county in the near future.
The focus of this particular group is to provide opportunities for younger people to develop their confidence to speak up about issues that could affect them now and in the future. Young people will be encouraged and supported to speak up about the changes in services they may need to access as they move into adulthood (this is called Transition).
Topics could include: Social activities, Housing, Employment, financial, relationships.
Find out when and where these groups take place by calling us on 01934 426086 or by emailing us at info@nspf.co.uk.
We currently run 2 groups: one in Weston-super-Mare which meets every 2 weeks; and a group in Portishead which meets once a month.
The purpose of these groups is to provide opportunities for people to share their views and opinions about things that are important to them. This could include: Hate crime, visiting the job centre, benefits, Health issues, local services.
The groups often provide feedback about services and documents produced by North Somerset Council, and this feedback is used to influence the development of current and future services.
